Getting Started with the PlayersOnly Mobile App

Step 1: Download the App

Head to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and download the PlayersOnly app.

Step 2: Create an Account

1. Open the app and tap on “Sign Up” from the main screen.

1. Enter your:

   • First name

   • Last name

   • Email address

   • Password (must be at least 8 characters)

2. Check the box to agree to the Terms and Conditions, then continue.

Step 3: Verify Your Phone Number

1. Enter your mobile phone number.

2. You will receive a text message with a PIN.

3. Enter the PIN to confirm and verify your account.

Step 4: Complete Your Profile

1. After verifying your phone number, you will be prompted to enter your Date of Birth.

2. Next, create a Username:

   • Must be 4–24 characters long

   • Can include letters, numbers, periods (.), and underscores (_)

Once a valid username is entered, you should see a confirmation message.

Step 5: Understand Your Account Type

Upon sign-up, you will be assigned a Fan Account. This account allows you to engage with content (like, share, comment), but does not allow you to post.

PlayersOnly is a safe and vetted sports community. To maintain this, we use a structured user type system:

• Fan

• Org

• Team

• Athlete

• Coach

• Media

These non-fan roles unlock posting access and allow users to connect within the ecosystem.

Step 6: Switch Account Type (If Applicable)

If you are an athlete, coach, team representative, or part of the media:

1. Open the app and go to your Profile.

2. Tap “Switch Account Type”.

3. Complete the required verification fields.

Account upgrades are reviewed and approved within 24–48 hours.
